Nancy

Nancy

One day during the early fall I was waiting for a bus on the corner of 5th and Wood. A girl that appeared to be 21 or 22 was pacing around looking really confused. So I asked her if she needed help to where she was going. I was still quite new to this lifestyle of riding a bus everywhere, so I tried my best to get her where she needed to be. She gave me the address to where she was headed and lucky I was able to help her out. She was headed to the outskirts of Oakland. Since we were going to the same place, we talked the entire time of our bus ride until she got to her destination. I learned that she was also a student at Point Park, and if I remember correctly she was from a different country. She has a little bit of an accent but she was easy to understand. Our conversation was quite brief because she was really worried about getting to where she needed to be and I was too. While we rode the bus we talked about where we were going and how we ended up at Point Park. She gave me her phone number to maybe hangout one day, but I never heard from her again. Although she never called me, I still think about meeting her from time to time. It was nice to be able to help someone to get where they needed to go even though I too was new to the bus system.
