The Girl in Her Second Year of Law School
January 21, 2014
Today was one of the most recent occurrences I had on a bus. I got to Oakland where a lot of Pitt students get on the bus and a girl sat next to me. I looked over at her and asked her if she was a student at Pitt, and she told me how she was in her second year of law school. I told her about what I was doing in school and I thought about how different our lives are. I asked her where she was from and she said a small suburb outside of Cleveland, Ohio. I go to Ohio often so I told her all the places I visit and it was nice meeting someone that knew where I had been. Previously in her undergrad years she went to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I had heard about Miami before and she seemed pleased that I knew what it was. We talked about the snow and I told her about how one year when we got a huge snow in my hometown. She laughed at me because when I told her how much snow we got, she said it was nothing compared to where she was from. She also told me how she was looked into going to a school in Chicago and it reminded me of someone else I knew from Ohio that lives currently in Illinois. It was really strange to me how much she reminded me of my friend from years ago. It was really nice talking to this law school student because of how much she reminded me of my friend. I felt like I knew this girl I had just met, for years. I never got her name and I really wish I had because I really liked how interesting she was.
